Board-level repairs aren’t something most shops are willing — or able — to take on. Recently, a customer attempted a BIOS microchip repair on their own laptop. Unfortunately, the repair didn’t go as planned and resulted in a damaged motherboard and a completely non-working system.
Believing the laptop might be beyond repair, they brought the motherboard to Ohm Computers for a second opinion.
The Repair
After inspection, we performed an expert-level board repair, which included:
Re-soldering the BIOS microchip
Repairing a damaged solder pad and trace
Restoring the motherboard to a clean, factory-quality finish
Once completed, the laptop powered on and functioned exactly as intended.

Customer Review
“An expert-level repair of the highest quality… the board looked as clean and professional as if it had just come off the manufacturer’s assembly line.”— Sam
The Result
A laptop that was thought to be permanently damaged was fully restored — saving the customer the cost of replacement and proving that true board-level repair makes all the difference.
If you’ve been told your motherboard is “not repairable,” it may be time for a second opinion.
If you want it even shorter (homepage blurb or Google post) or want it branded more aggressively, I can tighten it up further.
